Uzbekistan has become one of the most practical MBBS destinations for Indian students: government universities, English-medium teaching, low living costs and a food and culture that feel familiar. TIT runs the official Bangalore admission office for the Tashkent State Medical University Termez Branch.

Uzbekistan's government has spent the last decade modernising its medical universities and opening them to international students. For Indian families, three things stand out: fees that sit well below Indian private colleges, English-medium programmes structured to meet NMC's FMGL 2021 rules, and dedicated Indian batches at several campuses.

Why families choose Uzbekistan

  • Government universities — admissions are merit-based on NEET qualification, with no capitation or donation.
  • Indian-friendly campuses — Indian mess food, Indian faculty at selected branches, and large Indian student communities.
  • Safety — Uzbekistan is widely regarded as one of the safer countries in Central Asia for students.
  • Close to home — direct flights from Delhi to Tashkent take about three hours.

Our flagship: TSMU Termez Branch

TIT International Educational Trust is the Bangalore admission office for the Termez Branch of Tashkent State Medical University. The complete admission — counselling, documentation, visa and travel — is processed from our Kothanur office, and students join a dedicated Indian batch taught by Indian faculty with an Indian director on campus.

Student life

What life on campus actually looks like

Food

Indian mess is available at most campuses with Indian batches. Local cuisine — plov, fresh bread, grilled meats and fruit — is mild and easy to adapt to.

Weather

Summers are hot and dry; winters are cool, with occasional snow in the north. Southern cities like Termez are warmer year-round.

Language

Classes are in English. Students learn basic Uzbek or Russian in the early years to talk with patients during clinical rotations.

Travel & culture

Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva are UNESCO heritage cities, easy to reach by high-speed train during holidays.

FAQ

MBBS in Uzbekistan: common questions

Yes, provided the university and programme meet NMC’s Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate Regulations 2021 — at least 54 months of study in English, a 12-month internship at the same university, and eligibility to register as a doctor in Uzbekistan. You must then clear FMGE / NExT in India.
